You can go buy 2 snickers instead of wasting 1.99 on this crap. The app crashes constantly. Tried a million things. Conclusion: Crap App for dinner.

Years ago, this app was the go-to colour grader on the AppStore when it was still developed by RedGiant, now… I dont even know what to say. While they have retained all the existing ‘looks’ the app had before - without adding any - the app no longer saves any videos developed with it. Well, whats the point then? 0 Stars, find something else.

This app is great but I with there was an option to add the letterbox look that most movies have. That should crop the video just a bit. So it will add the black bars. (Letterbox)

I wish returning apps was a thing... Filters dont look that well and after downloading, the quality looks different. Dont waste your money.

Does a decent job as far as looks go, but after I process some footage and export the video to my photos, the only way to free up space used by this app to process the video is by deleting the app and reinstalling bit..... Really guys? Really ?

When I first bought the app I loved it. It worked just find with anything I put through it. Now it fails on EVERY thing I try. It still counts down to when its supposed to be done but then when its time to show the video a black screen shows for a sec and then goes away. Recently it just has been stuck trying to save the video and I have to cancel. Not worth it any more.

On the iPhone 5s app does not render any video past 8 seconds. App freezes then crashes many times during the rendering. Contacted the company about an update and they said they had no plans of updating the app, ever. Stay away from this one people, its a waste of your money.

Really a great idea for an app. Maybe someday someone will make it a reality! Shooting on iPhone. Works sometimes but usually bails out of the rendering process part way through. Especially on larger files. Hard to imagine they cant fix this but they havent. As far as I know theres nothing else like it though.

It takes forever for video to "create" and it never showed me after 15 min. And couldnt go back to view it. {I want my money back!}

This app could be great. Running it on the iPhone 5s and you often have to trim the clip down to about 5 seconds otherwise it wont develop the clip. Most clips longer than 5 seconds wont develop. It just takes you back to selecting a clip or filter and does nothing to the clip.

I tried the same video 5 different times, i wait like 4 to 6 minutes(2minute video) and it finishes and when I click view movie it goes straight to the home screen, and it doesnt even get saved to my camera roll, even though I let it access my photos

It freezes every time I try to develop a movie. Never completes a movie. Ive tried everything.

This app is full of potential, too bad it fails to deliver. When a video is selected it takes you to another window in which you can play and trim the video, once you have done that, it than takes you to another window where you select the desired look, but at this point you cant play the video, so is a guessing game. Im running it on an iPhone 5 and it is not exporting full res video, only mid res... Too bad, I had my hopes on this app!

I used to love this app until iOS7 came out and broke the app. It seemed this app was dead in the water and I had feared Red Giant had abandoned it, but now we are back in action and, as promised, I now leave a good review for this great app. Lots of fun tweaking individual looks to your taste (you may find some of them are a bit “too intense”). I had a little trouble using videos with a 2:35 matte from FilmicPro but was able to process those videos by very slightly “trimming” the beginning and ending of the video within Movie Looks. Only exports to 720 at the moment (same as it always did) but still looks great…hopefully a 1080 update in the future? Anyways, thank you Red Giant for not abandoning this app!

What happened to the letter box effect

Love the update, but one major complaint: the Cinematic filter, along with a few others, no longer has the "widescreen" look, meaning the black bars are gone. Why? I often shot video with Luma and other video stabilizing apps, then converted to the widescreen look using this filter. Please add this back to the filters!

I love the new update but there should be an on and off button for widescreen.

I was hoping that the update would fix the problem of it processing half a video and then stoping. This always resulted in the final video looking great up until about half way through where it would just go black with the sound still playing in the background. I used to love this app, but since it wont work I cant rely on it anymore. Oh well, good thing I have VideoGrade that does the same thing with more control. All that being said, my rating will still definitely go up if the problem is fixed.

Im so happy Red Giant updated the icon to match the user interface of iOS 7, but having said that, I wish Red Giant would have redesigned the user interface of the app a little more iOS 7-like. Many of the the features of the app still look iOS 6-like such as: the video scroll bar to trim your video. I also hope they bring back the 2.40:1 Matte (letterbox) Effect. Its the smallest things that get me, and I dont mean to nitpick, but if you will notice, the text on some of the buttons such as: Next or Develop is low quality and pixely and I hope they fix that. But hey, the app finally works now ☺️ If it aint broke, dont fix it.
